Advising on Environmental Law & Climate Policy
Our environmental law practice focuses on advising clients on regulatory and legal issues relating to environmental protection, climate policy and sustainable development. We assist businesses, investors, and project developers throughout the full lifecycle of their projects in understanding and complying with environmental laws and frameworks applicable in Thailand.
Key areas of focus include legal and regulatory aspects of climate change such as compliance with environmental disclosure obligations and related reporting requirements. We help clients assess how evolving climate-related policies may affect their operations, transactions or corporate governance responsibilities.
We have particular expertise in carbon trading and credit schemes, advising on voluntary and compliance markets, including the Thai Voluntary Emission Reduction (T-VER) program and international credits. Our work spans project eligibility, evaluating risks related to contractual arrangements, transfer mechanisms, and verification standards.

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) related matters are also another key area of our practicing focus, especially in connection with development projects subject to environmental review under Thai law. Our work includes reviewing EIA requirements, conducting legal due diligence on environmental issues and regulatory compliance assessments particularly in the context of mergers, acquisitions, infrastructure development and energy projects.
Our ESG legal advisory covers disclosure frameworks, governance protocols, and assisting the client in monitoring compliance with SET, SEC, and international reporting standards. We integrate ESG into transactions through targeted due diligence, risk assessments, and governance structures to help clients move beyond compliance toward measurable sustainability performance.
Through this practice, we aim to provide clear, practical legal guidance to support compliance with environmental regulations and the integration of environmental considerations into project planning and business operations, to support low-carbon transition, sustainable growth, and resilience in a changing global economy.
